The Arctic Lake Lake Ice System Science (ALISS) project hopes to shed light on how lake ice responds to feedback mechanisms from permafrost and climate change. A recently published video documents their research efforts. Alaska Water and Environmental Research Center's (WERC) Chris Arp and Anna Liljedahl are among the group of ALISS researchers.
The Alaska WERC has also developed a series of four short films that showcase how 10 Northwest rural Alaska villages are seeking effective ways of adapting to rapid chages in climate, weather and development. The project is part of National Science Foundation grant run through the Alaska WERC.
